Your Role:

You will manage financial reporting, compliance, treasury functions, Foreign Exchange (FX) forecasting and hedging, cash flow forecasting, and key financial projects. Working closely with the Controllership and FP&A teams, you will ensure the accuracy of financial records and drive continuous improvement in financial operations.

  • Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely financial consolidation, IFRS 16 lease calculations, and provide ongoing accounting policy research. Lead the annual preparation of external financial statements and notes. Coordinate and develop ongoing reporting enhancements to improve financial accuracy and efficiency.

  • Tax Compliance & Audits: Manage tax filings and audits, both direct and indirect, while staying informed on regulatory changes to ensure compliance.

  • Treasury & Foreign Exchange (FX) Management: Align FX contracts with company strategy, forecast exposures on a regular basis, provide reports to Executives and senior leaders, and conduct FX hedging transactions.

  • Cash Management & Banking: Accurately forecast cash flow monthly, monitor bank balances and recommend funding as required, and supervise cash application function.

  • Balance Sheet & Fixed Asset Management: Manage capital asset acquisitions and disposals, maintain fixed asset continuity schedules, coordinate annual fixed asset counts, and approve month-end close journal entries and account reconciliations.

  • Team Collaboration & Development: Provides day-to-day guidance and support to the accounting team, fostering a collaborative environment. Encourages staff development through coaching, mentorship, and shared learning, while helping to coordinate team efforts and ensure continued professional growth.


What You Bring:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, or equivalent; CPA designation required.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience in controllership, financial reporting, or auditing.

  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices including International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and/or Accounting Standards for Private Enterprise (ASPE)

  • Skills & Attributes:
    • Strong critical thinking and attention to detail.
    • Strong ability to guide, motivate, and support team members to achieve goals and drive performance.
    • Ability to drive continuous process improvements and challenge the status quo.
    • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
    • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to influence senior leaders.
    • Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
