Overview
As a Senior Analyst, Benefits, your role will primarily focus on supporting client service work and projects for clients concentrated around life, disability and health care plan data. You'll be instrumental in delivering in-depth research, analysis, and reporting for some of our largest clients. This role's responsibilities will include capturing and synthesizing information from diverse sources, interpreting the data's significance, drawing well-founded conclusions, generating innovative alternatives, and evaluating the potential consequences of each solution. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our clients and make a meaningful impact in the field of benefits analysis.
How you'll make an impact
- Prepare renewals and experience reports for some of our largest and most complex clients using renewal and reporting tools
- Prepare benefits marketing material and compile data and results from insurer proposals
- Coordinate with the Gallagher Centre of Excellence (GCoE) in support of project results
- Collaborate with service providers for the collection, analysis and interpretation of life, disability and health care data
- Collaborate with internal team to develop awareness and recommendations of life, disability and health care plan design, cost factors and help prepare team members for the renewal process
- Participating in strategic discussions on evaluating a prospect’s current benefits plan design and provide input on potential alternates
- Prepare ad-hoc results
- Support account management team in presenting analytics to clients as required
- Other accountabilities to support the high functioning team you will be part of, as the need arises
What skills are important to be successful in this role?
- The ability to be detailed, analyze data and perform basic mathematical tasks
- A strong command of MS Word, Powerpoint and Excel, including formulas, VLOOKUP, Power BI etc
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Prioritizing and handling multiple tasks
- Working on a team and independently with minimal supervision makes you happy, as does developing relationships with service vendors and clients
About you
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Group Benefits environment
- BA/BS degree in math, statistics, economics, business, finance or liberal arts or commensurate experience
- CEBS designation would be an asset
- Strong understanding of group benefits underwriting
- Consider yourself an expert in the Microsoft Suite and can manage your Outlook inbox with ease
