Communications Coordinator - 18-Month Contract with potential for permanent employment

This is an in-office position, with occasional after-hours work required to meet deadlines or manage events.

Responsibilities:

Corporate Event Planning & Coordination

  • Annual TEAM Events: Lead the planning and coordination of the Annual TEAM Events, ensuring they align with organizational goals.
  • Investor Relations Tours: Collaborate with key stakeholders to plan and execute Boardwalk's annual Investor Relations Tour.
  • Ad Hoc Corporate Events: Assist in the planning and execution of other corporate events on an as-needed basis, ensuring all events are executed to the highest standard.
  • Manage vendor relationships, budgets, and timelines to ensure events run smoothly and within scope.
  • Travel to event locations as needed to oversee event logistics, set-up, and execution, ensuring all aspects run smoothly.

BWell Programming, Initiatives, and Partnerships

  • Monthly Initiative Planning: Design, coordinate, and execute monthly initiatives as part of the BWell program.
  • BWell Communications: Draft, edit, and distribute all BWell-related communications across multiple platforms, including the Resident Member website, email, and Connect.
  • Community Engagement Updates: Manage and distribute monthly internal community engagement updates to keep Associates informed and connected.
  • Partnership Strategy: Develop and implement strategies to build and maintain meaningful partnerships that support BWell programming and its objectives.
  • Track the success of all BWell initiatives and partnerships, using data to inform future programming.

Associate Engagement

  • Associate Engagement: Support other engagement initiatives that enhance workplace culture, foster connection, and promote a positive Associate experience.
  • Collaborate with teams to identify new opportunities for improving Associate satisfaction and engagement through innovative communication and programming.

Experience and Educational Requirements:

  • Undergraduate Degree or Diploma in Communications, Marketing, or related field
  • Minimum 2-3 years of recent relevant experience

Technical Requirements:

  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent creative writing and editing skills

Non-Technical Requirements:

  • Strong passion and motivation for all facets of marketing and communications.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks while remaining flexible.
  • Accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and comfortable representing the company at events and in public settings.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Exceptional decision-making capabilities demonstrating resourcefulness and confidence.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners/suppliers.
  • Demonstrate a positive and fun attitude with enthusiasm and assertiveness.
  • High level of professionalism, confidence, creativity, initiative, and commitment to success.
