About this opportunity:
The Corporate Planning Analyst will help to steer the development, consolidation, and analysis of business plans across the organization. This individual will focus on collaboration across the business offices to align operations with corporate objectives. Responsibilities of this role will include consolidating financial data, ensuring accuracy and consistency, conducting analysis, aligning long-term business performance against guidance, and preparing and presenting reports on the business plans. This position requires excellent organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate seamlessly across functional teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive willingness to learn and bring experience in designing and managing effective processes, testing assumptions, and data analysis.
What you'll do:
Develop and maintain consolidated business plans that integrate financial and operational objectives, aligned with reporting standards
Conduct scenario analysis to assess potential impacts and evaluate optimization strategies with business unit partners
Build detailed financial models for long-term planning and consolidate financial data from various units to ensure accuracy and consistency
Track long-term business performance against guidance targets and KPIs, providing insightful variance analysis
Collaborate closely with business offices, department heads, finance, and enabling teams to assemble inputs for comprehensive planning
Ensure business plans reflect both operational capabilities and financial constraints, incorporating market trends, competitor strategies, and regulatory insights
Prepare and present reports on consolidated business plans and performance metrics to senior management, offering strategic insights
Leverage advanced tools and methodologies to improve efficiency, accuracy, and innovation within the Corporate Planning process
Who you are:
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:
Legally authorized to work in Canada
4+ years of experience in corporate planning, financial analysis, or strategic planning, with a degree in Engineering or Business. Completion of a professional designation is an asset
Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work optimally across functional teams
Demonstrated discretion in handling confidential data
Outstanding analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills, with adaptability to changing priorities
