Job Description:

We are looking for a Service Associate to join SunAdvantage in the Group Benefits Business Development area. In this role, you will partner with an Account Executive in establishing and maintaining relationships for a portfolio of SunAdvantage Consultants and Advisors. You will have a joint responsibility of ensuring all aspects of the Advisor and Broker needs are met in a timely and satisfactory manner, as well supporting business development activities such as quotes activity, sales, etc. This role will report to the Service Manager, Business Development.

What will you do?

  • Review and gather data needed for quoting and for the installation of new business or amendments to existing business

  • Provide sales support to the Account Executive and Plan Advisors during/after installation of new and amended accounts

  • Work closely with SunAdvantage business partners to successfully manage and support Advisor's in force block of business

  • Manage target dates with Advisors with respect to new business and/ or plan design changes

  • Understand Advisor wants and needs and take action to meet and exceed them

  • Share ideas with team members that could improve service delivery and processes

  • Actively participate in huddles & team meetings and share learnings in a constructive manner.

  • Actively participate in Training, Monthly Service Representative meetings, Educational training on new product offering and various process update

What do you need to succeed?

  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years relevant work experience in a Service-related role

  • College Degree

  • Strong knowledge of Group Benefits

  • Client empathy and commitment to providing excellent service and Client experience

  • Ability to build strong working relationships

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a high functioning team

  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to meet goals, manage high volumes of work and work collaboratively within the team, and across multiple teams

  • Time management and organizational skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Proficient in technological systems such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • There may be times when additional work beyond the normal work day is required

  • As this position is posted in several locations, we specify that bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec only for the frequent interactions with English and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada or worldwide

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance.
