You as a Claims Coordinator, Worker's Compensation Liaison will:

  • Pro-active Claims Management, cost relief/transfer requests, and appeal experience is an asset.
  • Liaise and collaborate with the Corporate Claims Team and report to the Corporate Claims Director.
  • Review incident investigation reports, assess claims for initial entitlement, prepare submissions for objections, prepare third party transfer of costs submissions, and complete and file Employer Reports of Injury.
  • Manage workplace injury claims with a focus on minimizing time loss and claim costs.
  • Case Management including return to work coordination and modified work accommodations.
  • Complex claims management and advisement including psychological claims.
  • Liaise with provincial Worker's Compensation Boards across Canada and Health Care Practitioners to ensure effective claims management.
  • Manage Workers' Compensation Appeals where appropriate.

Is this the right role for you?

  • Post-Secondary education in a related field with 5-7 years of experience in Worker's Compensation claims management.
  • Extensive knowledge of Workers Compensation policies & procedures, experience rating system, Occupational Health & Safety Act.
  • Must have a high level of oral and written communication skills, ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Multi-provincial knowledge and experience would be considered an asset (BC, AB, SK, ON)
  • This job will be based in Fort Saskatchewan, AB
