Detailed Overview

Supporting the Vision, Values, Purpose and Commitments of Fraser Health including service delivery that is centered around patients/clients/residents and families:

In accordance with established policies, procedures and contractual agreements, is responsible for developing and maintaining data collection and reporting to Managers, Union Offices and external providers; performing quality checks and analysis; recommending process improvement; and participating in and running systems oriented projects to implement policy or collective agreement changes.


Responsibilities


  1. Establishes and maintains distribution lists and timetables in order to ensure the distribution of reports to the appropriate person/department and within established time frames.
  2. Develops and tests systems oriented quality and process improvement practices and procedures; assists with the implementation and design of process improvements.
  3. Designs reports and provides information and interpretations to Managers regarding benefit reports; calculates, prepares and distributes benefit entitlement information and reports; runs, reviews, and assesses audit sequences and related reports.
  4. Enters, replaces, deletes program codes and commands as required to correct errors.
  5. Researches, analyzes, and compiles statistics as required.
  6. Participates or owns departmental projects as assigned.
  7. Maintains intranet web pages for Benefits & Employee Information.
  8. Partners with Systems Development Team and/or other teams or committees as required to provide input and feedback in the developing and testing of enhancements or initiatives relevant to People Services.
  9. Responds to routine enquiries from Fraser Health Management and external organizations.
  10. Processes and reports all information relating to employee benefit and personnel file, including new hire documentation, change of status, terminations, leaves of absence, retirements, Long Term Disability, salary increments and contract increases.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

Diploma in Human Resource Management or related discipline plus two (2) years' recent, related experience including database administration or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Professional/Technical Capabilities

  • Ability to type at 40 w.p.m.
  • Proficiency in the use of personal computers utilizing a variety of related software applications.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for the application of Collective Agreements to benefit entitlement.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand data and technical information.
  • Ability to organize and ability to handle a high volume of work with frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to prioritize workloads.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
