As a Financial Solutions Manager for our Member Service Centre you will support lending while providing outstanding service to our members. It's also a fantastic opportunity to utilize your customer service skills, passion for teamwork, and commitment to delivering results!

Please note, this is a Financial Advisory role in Prospera's call centre, referred to as the Member Service Centre. The position is hybrid, with part of the time working in our Surrey Corporate office, and the rest of the time spent working from your home. Other institutions may refer to this position as Financial Advisor, Personal Banking Advisor, etc.

What you’ll do:

• Maintain high service quality standards, incorporate the strategic selling process in customer interactions, build rapport with customers, and seek opportunities to deepen customer relationships.
• Seek opportunities to demonstrate value proposition, uncover needs, and recommend appropriate products, services, and solutions.
• Act as the ambassador for digital and self-service channels. Educate customers on the ease and convenience of digital and self-serve channels for daily banking transactions.
• Provide lending, investments, and cash-related expertise and support.
• Interview clients to identify needs and ensure products meet identified needs, demonstrate opportunities to generate sales leads. Refer customers to other lines of business experts as needed, collaborating to ensure a seamless and rewarding customer experience.
• Prepare documentation and approve loans within current limits; refer loans above limits or exceptions to branch management or corporate with rationale as to why the loan should be approved.
• Ensure consistent follow-up on existing clients and provide ongoing advice and solutions.
• Provide expertise in credit adjudication, with an emphasis on mortgage applications and renewals.
• Manage, analyze, compile, and organize application information for mortgage loans in accordance with policy and procedures to create a complete package for credit review.

What you bring:

• 2 years’ front-line, proven sales experience within an operations or financial services environment; must have exposure to retail lending or deposits.
• Effective credit underwriting capabilities.
• Proven ability to uncover customer needs through establishing rapport and listening to the customer.
• Effective selling, cross-selling and referral skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills with the ability to interact with a variety of people.
• Self-motivated, outgoing, confident, and sales-oriented.
• Detailed knowledge of deposit-related products, personal lending and mortgages.
• Proficient with technology, including banking and Customer Relationship Management systems and Microsoft Office programs.

• Prospera offers a total compensation package of base salary plus incentives that is market competitive and reviewed annually. Our expected starting salary for this role is $60,300 to $67,000 based on the successful candidate’s knowledge, experience and internal equity.
