Our Information Technology group has an opportunity for a Business Analyst/BI Developer located at our beautiful downtown Vancouver corporate office:

You'll do:

  • Serve as a forward-thinking Business Intelligence representative, identifying and driving new insights and capabilities to advance the business.
  • Act as the main resource for complex report, integration, and dashboard requests using Power BI or other reporting tools.
  • Collaborate with the business to gather new requests and enhance existing ones, providing preliminary data and insights, and developing final reports/dashboards to track ongoing needs.
  • Create and manage Power BI analytics solutions to transform data into actionable knowledge.
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain reports and integrations.
  • Identify and implement improvements to related technologies.
  • Prioritize, schedule, and manage enhancements and defect resolution.
  • Analyze trends and evaluate resolutions to prevent recurring issues.
  • Communicate with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Resolve end-user problem tickets and document the process in ServiceNow.
  • Test fixes and follow up to ensure issues are resolved.
  • Contribute to developing and maintaining manuals and guidelines.
  • Assess and analyze current business systems and procedures.
  • Research emerging software products and features.
  • Collaborate with vendors for efficient software implementation.

You'll have:

  • 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in Forestry, Natural Resources, Manufacturing, Operations, or Finance.
  • Strong communication and business acumen.
  • Skilled in requirements gathering, problem framing, and understanding business operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or MIS, or 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with Business Applications (SAP, JDE, ERP/FP&A systems, etc.).
  • Strong SQL and database design knowledge.
  • Alignment with West Fraser values.
  • Experience with Power BI, relational databases, and SharePoint/O365 suite is a plus.

Compensation Package:

  • The salary range for this position may vary depending on experience, education, and location. The annual salary range is between $85,000 - $108,000
  • Annual bonus opportunity
  • Outstanding benefits package including medical, dental, pension, life insurance, disability, accident insurance, vacation, and holidays
