Eligibility Note: To qualify for a student (Co-op/Internship) opportunity, students must be enrolled in their academic studies at a post-secondary institution (university/college) and must be returning to school after completion of their work term with QuadReal. If you are a student registered in an official co-op program at your post-secondary institution and completion of a final work term is a mandatory component for you to graduate, you are eligible to apply with the understanding that you will leave QuadReal at the end of your work term or have the possibility to be considered for full-time opportunities.
Based in Vancouver, the Co-op/Intern, Portfolio Reporting, Real Estate Debt, will report to the Director, Portfolio Reporting. The candidate will assist with advancing portfolio analytics, data management and reporting, as well as gain broad exposure to the investment process by working closely with multiple teams (Investment, FP&A, Valuations, Research and Accounting).

What You Will Experience:
Advance QuadReal's agenda for driving insight at the portfolio level by contributing to scenario modelling, cash flow forecasting, leverage and liquidity analysis
Build and manage complex financial models to analyze the portfolio in Excel, Anaplan, or other tools
Analyze portfolio exposures, return attribution, and market trends and present them in a concise way through written and verbal forms
Validate and reconcile data collected from different systems, and assist with data process improvement projects
Work with multiple teams to maintain and build upon proprietary databases and reporting dashboards for accurate and timely reporting
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and ad hoc management reports for senior management, Board of Directors and BCI
Assist with ad hoc research projects for benchmarking, peer analysis, risk analysis, and other relevant topics
Build out new portfolio analytics in Power BI to help provide insights to portfolio managers and senior management
What You Will Bring:
Currently enrolled in an academic program preferably in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics/Statistic or Economics. Working towards CFA is considered an asset
Strong quantitative and analytical skills; detail-oriented and proficient in building and handling complicated data sets
Excellent communication and presentation skills; demonstrate an ability to effectively communicate and present results that articulate key themes and messages
Must have advanced knowledge of Excel (VBA a plus); additional computer programming skills and Power BI knowledge is considered a plus
Previous experience working within a real estate company, real estate brokerage or advisory firm, appraisal firm, or real estate lender is desirable. A strong interest in developing a career within real estate is essential

The expected hourly range for this role is $23 to $25.
