What is the Opportunity?

You will be involved in various engineering work streams, component analysis, design and build of various leading edge technologies focusing on next generation firewalls, SASE, and SOAR technologies. The team you will be joining is a high performing and collaborative team of accomplished network-security engineers who focus on security as an enabling technology that protects RBC's business and clients.

What will you do?

  • Own and validate blueprints and design artifacts

  • Partner with architecture team to validate solutions

  • Define solution design and services

  • Direct the design, build and transition activities

  • Direct and validate design artifacts

  • Conduct research into leading technologies, design and lead Proof of Concept activities

  • Develop platform specification and design specifications

  • Think strategically and use your excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 7-10 years in information technology roles with at least 5 years designing, configuring and troubleshooting next generation firewalls and other network security tools such as IPS, VPN, and Next Gen Firewalls.

  • Hands on experience with PRISMA & AIOps

  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating complex multivariate problems to gain a quick resolution, often under duress.

  • Demonstrated ability in written and oral communication skills along with strong presentation skills and the ability to deliver information in a manner that meets the communication needs of the stakeholders and project.

  • Deadline-driven and results-oriented; able to meet consistently high quality standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Certifications from product vendors or SANS/GIAC.

Nice-to-have

  • Undergraduate degree coupled with change management experience in complex programs with high frequency of requests and multiple priorities.

  • Understanding of Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems and scripting in a higher-level language such as Python, JavaScript, Ruby, and PowerShell
