Reporting to the Senior Director, Analytics; The Data Engineering Delivery Lead will be responsible for managing the Team’s Agile methodologies and support in the maintenance of Power BI dashboards, data storage solutions, including Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Data Factory. The role involves coordinating and facilitating the Scrum process for the Business Intelligence (BI) team and work in close conjunction with our database architects, data scientists and data governance teams on data initiatives and ensure optimal data delivery and architecture consistency throughout ongoing projects.

Must have strong Microsoft Background and experience.

What will you do?

• Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other Scrum ceremonies.
• Ensure the team adheres to Agile principles and practices, promoting continuous improvement
• Support the maintenance and development of Power BI dashboards and data storage solutions.
• Collaborate with BI developers, database architects, data analysts, and data scientists to ensure seamless data integration and delivery.
• Assist in the design and implementation of data pipelines and ETL processes using Azure Data Factory and other Azure services.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure smooth and efficient data flow.
• Maintain and update project documentation, including sprint plans and progress reports, dashboards and ETL processes using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and other Azure services.
• Participate in metadata management and data governance initiatives.
• Ensure data quality and integrity by performing data cleaning, transformation, and validation tasks.
• Perform root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Create documentation supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management.
• Maintain a high level of awareness of the strategic direction, project initiatives and business goals of the organization to ensure technology systems align between all functional units and overall objectives are coordinated

Some things that would impress us:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3 – 5 Years working in a data intensive environment or an IT team supporting data ops
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification is preferred
• Microsoft Azure Data Engineer Associate Certification is optional
• Strong understanding of Scrum methodologies, data engineering concepts and tools (e.g., SQL, Python, ETL processes, data warehousing).
