As an Income Tax Compliance Manager you will oversee all Income Tax Compliance in Canada. In this role you will be responsible for managing and coordinating tax compliance and provision work.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Reviewing and preparing in-house compliance returns/filings - T2s, T106s, T1134s, T1135s, NR4s, RC4649, FAPI, surplus calculations, etc.

  • Prepare/reviewing aspects of US GAAP tax provision.

  • Assisting with forecasting/other projects - scenario modeling for cash taxes & credit utilization.

  • Collaborating with external provider to ensure all tax compliance and tax provision tasks are completed in a timely manner.

  • Conducting tax research and analyses and monitor tax laws and legislation updates.

  • Ensuring compliance of all tax related filings and deadlines for the Canadian companies.

  • Working closely with Group Tax and assist in transfer pricing and tax planning requirements.

  • Interacting with multiple stakeholders/departments to establish system/reporting requirements to enable accurate tax filings.

  • Maintaining adequate workings paper with supporting documentation for all tax returns.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting or Tax qualified CPA

  • 6+ years experience working in Canadian income tax

  • The ideal candidate has experience with income tax compliance for multinational companies in Canada.

  • Knowledge of US GAAP (preferred)

  • Completion of the In-Depth Tax course (preferred)

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to exercise influence cross-functionally, work collaboratively, optimize priorities and build and maintain effective relationships with internal team members, external consultants, and other partners.
