Role Overview


We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Vice President, Finance to develop and direct the company’s analytical, financial plans and policies. The VP Finance will also report on metrics to optimize our growth by understanding where efficiencies exist to maximize scalability throughout the year. This role requires a self-motivated professional who is efficient and adept at identifying and implementing solutions to improving financial effectiveness.

As VP Finance, you will manage a small team and oversee all aspects of accounting operations, financial planning and forecasting, internal and external financial reporting and regulatory compliance. This is a dynamic role in an industrious and creative organization. You will work directly IoM’s President and CEO and play a key role on the leadership team, helping develop long term strategy and ensuring operations remain on track to achieve company goals and growth objectives.

We are in search of a leader with a relentless focus on continuous improvement, who has the flexibility that comes from working in an entrepreneurial environment, and who has a willingness and ability to be hands on when necessary.


Key Responsibilities


  • Oversee accounts payables, receivables, and payroll as well as profitability and expense management
  • Prepare timely and accurate financial analyses, summaries and reports on the operating progress of the company
  • Create reliable cash-flow projections and establish and maintain stable cash-flow management policies which ensure that cash resources are available for daily operational and business needs. Routinely review revenue cycle metrics to identify and proactively address issues affecting overall performance
  • Prepare more complex accounting analysis when required
  • Understand and be responsible for complying with relevant local and federal regulatory matters
  • Partner with senior leaders to ensure the company hits revenue targets
  • Provide recommendations to strategically enhance the financial performance and business opportunities for the company
  • Develop financial best practices and standard procedures
  • Manage external audit/review process
  • Provide leadership, coaching and guidance to the accounting team, keeping them informed on operational performance and priorities

Requirements and Skills


  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial reporting, preferably within the Film and Television industry or related sector.
  • Previous work experience as a VP of Finance or similar role
  • CPA designation
  • In-depth knowledge of financial benchmarking, IFRS accounting standards, consolidations, audit and tax compliance and other regulatory matter
  • Adept in fiscal management principles and processes, including resource management and needs assessment
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to drive results.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to drive financial strategy aligned with corporate goals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively interacting with executive leadership, board members, and external stakeholders.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated success in leading change management initiatives and process improvements in financial operations.
