The successful candidate will contribute to our key projects as a member of our Integration, Test, and Evaluation (IT&E) Cross Product Team (CPT) as follows:

  • Support development of an Installation Test Plan program for the Lockheed Martin scope of supply
  • Support development of a shipboard inspections program for the Lockheed Martin scope of supply; including pre and post installation inspections, as well as reviewing connectorization reports from the ship builder
  • Support development of a Corrective and Preventative Maintenance Plan for Lockheed Martin scope of supply; from local warehousing until ship Final Acceptance
  • Oversee proper installation of all Lockheed Martin's systems onboard ship to provide a clean handover to the T&Ts team at the commencement of STW
  • Oversee physical alignment activities conducted by the installer (shipbuilder)
  • Identify and resolve CS integration issues so that priority defects are corrected to meet testing schedules
  • Identify and resolve System Problem Reports (SPRs) so that priority defects are corrected to meet testing schedules
  • Review and analyze test results and report findings as necessary for the integration and functional testing
  • Support the conduct of Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs)
  • Responsive to ship identified problems to include specific testing and identifying rectification paths
  • Support Corrective and Preventative Maintenance tasks of all Lockheed Martin's CSs from receipt at the shipyard until ship Final Acceptance
  • Support Configuration Management (CM) updates as required by change management and any Corrective Maintenance tasks executed
Planning
  • Coordinate with all support participants involved in ship engineering activities including cross IPT coordination
  • Engage with shipbuilder to ensure CS equipment is properly pulled from warehousing and installed appropriately on each ship
  • Coordinate test engineering team in Data Collection and Analysis (DCA) for summary report, problem isolation and problem resolution
  • Ensure defects are documented utilizing the problem reporting process
  • Support Customer familiarization with entire CS equipment, maintenance and operations
  • Work closely with other IPTs to effectively manage and coordinate critical dates for each system and its components.
Reporting
  • Provide status and metrics to the Ship Integration Lead as required
  • Brings issues that impact planned test events to senior leadership in real time
  • Provide current metrics for problem reports
  • Attend Daily Stand-up to report out on major issues.

What you bring to the role

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Computer Science or related engineering discipline and 2 years' experience, or master's degree in related engineering discipline
  • Must be willing to support schedule including evenings and weekends, as required
  • Must have an aptitude for solving challenging problems in a team environment
  • Must have a high degree of initiative and autonomy
  • Must be able to obtain North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Secret security clearance.

Additional skills desired for the role

  • Experience with a variety of CSs and their supporting elements is considered an asset
  • Experience with IBM Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) is considered an asset
  • Experience with Agile Scrum methodology is considered an asset
  • Experience working in an industrial shipyard is considered an asset
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
  • Familiarity with Systems, Applications and Products (SAP)
  • Active NATO Secret security clearance is considered an asset.
