As of member of Eastlink's Governance, Risk and Compliance team reporting directly to the Manager of Cyber Security Compliance, the Compliance Analyst will support the business in understanding, analyzing, and improving its current compliance posture.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that appropriate security clearances are in place, by processing applications for new clearances, renewal of existing clearances and registration for new contracting companies.
  • Collaborate with various business units to assess employee and contractor security clearance needs and fill any identified gaps.
  • Conduct regular assessments of Eastlink's PCI-DSS status and related vendors, ensuring evidence of compliance is documented, validated, and maintained.
  • Assist with the development and deployment of the company's compliance related tools and infrastructure.
  • Assist with evidence gathering and delivery in support of periodic internal and external audits.
  • Help implement solutions for new or emerging compliance requirements, ensuring the business is aware of and meets its compliance obligations.
  • Collaborate with various business units to develop or implement controls that address risks identified in risk assessments.
  • Continued learning to develop and maintain a deep understanding of Governance, Risk and Compliance frameworks, standards, and industry best practices.

Requirements:

  • Degree or certificate in related discipline strongly desired (e.g., Information Security, Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, etc.)
  • Foundational knowledge of cyber security, information, and communications technology.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain multiple security clearances up to the Secret level.
  • Understanding of compliance frameworks such as NIST Cyber Security Framework, CIS Critical Security Controls, PCI DSS, AICPA SOC 2 and/or ISO 27001 is an asset.
  • Familiarity with government procurement processes and security requirements is an asset.
  • Exceptional communication and inter-personal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across multiple and diverse business units.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
