What is the opportunity?

You will join the Liquidity Risk Management Team as a Full Stack Developer, responsible for providing an in-house analysis/reporting platform to a global group of enterprise liquidity risk analysts and managers. You will work closely with developers to analyze business, technical and system needs in order to enhance and introduce features to a continuously growing application. Our team is looking for an individual who is excited to be working with large amounts of data and is eager to learn new technologies within the big data domain to support our business needs.

What will you do?

  • You will have hands on experience in designing and developing complex data intensive systems using cloud & Big data technologies.

  • Accountable for all phases of the development process - analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation in agile development lifecycles.

  • Proactively seek out knowledge about new technologies and how they can be used to solve current and foreseeable challenges.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

  • Extensive experience in working with Big Data Technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Hive, Java & Scala) and ETL development competencies.

  • Solid understanding of the Big Data architecture and the ability to troubleshoot development / Performance issues on Hadoop (Cloudera preferably)

  • Experience and knowledge with Java, Spring / REST / Microservices, Linux, SQL databases and Cloud platforms.

  • Experience with DevOps , CI/CD tools- Jenkins, GitHub, Automated Testing tools, or similar tools

  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design and functional programming

Nice to Have

  • Strong data analysis skills and the ability to slice and dice the data as needed for business reporting.

  • Good Team player who can work with onsite/offshore models and deadline oriented.

  • The candidate is expected to be dynamic, flexible, and energetic, as this is a demanding and rapidly changing environment.

  • Ability to work independently given general guidance.
