WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

The TAS team is undertaking multiple complex enterprise-wide initiatives as part of RBC's ongoing plan to improve technology management and IT RISK across the organization. We seek a proactive individual who is ready to take the initiative, deliver exceptional client support, and become a reliable contributor to our organization. You will be working with several GFT teams using a wide array of technologies.

In this role you will be responsible for strategically planning and managing successful implementation of the above mentioned. The role will coordinate, develop, lead, communicate and execute activities to ensure objectives are accomplished according on time. A chance to work with several GFT teams using a wide array of technologies, upcoming and old, increasing their exposure and gaining valuable experience.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Support technology currency (server patching, certificate renewal, compliance, etc.) with keen eye on automating opportunities
  • Set vision for SRE product base (monitoring, alerting, machine learning anomaly detection, self-healing, reliability testing)
  • Lead code and non-functional (performance, security, maintainability, compliance, change management) reviews of all production bound SRE solutions
  • Drive transformation by continuously looking for ways to automate existing processes
  • Lead the team through execution of the SRE roadmap
  • Track, audit, monitor and implement on technical work streams

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Must have:

  • Excellent knowledge / Hands-on experience with Ansible Tower / Ansible Automation Platform
  • Hands-on experience with a variety of SRE languages and tools (i.e., Ansible, Dynatrace, Moogsoft, PagerDuty)
  • Hands-on experience in Software Engineering (SDLC, Architecture, Design, Development),
  • Advanced knowledge of the following SRE practices and technologies:
  • Python, YAML, Shell scripting, Azure, Linux
  • Kubernetes

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience in a matrix environment, such as a large, publicly-traded corporation
  • Hands on experience with (ServiceNow, Elastic, Logstash, Kibana, Blue Prism, etc.)
  • Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer)
  • AWS certifications (e.g., Devops Engineer, Solution Architect, SysOps Administrator)
  • Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses
