The Public Trustee is committed to the proper administration of estates of deceased persons, incompetent persons, children, and missing persons. It is also committed to provide informed consents for health care, placement to a continuing care home or home care services using an approach that is client-centered, respectful of human rights and freedoms, and in the clients best interests if prior wishes, values, and beliefs are not known.
As the Trust Accountant, you maintain the financial records and investment portfolios of client accounts under the administration of the Public Trustee Office
We will assess the above qualifications and competencies using one or more of the following tools: written examination, standardized tests, oral presentations, interview(s), and reference checks.
To be considered for this opportunity, you hold 3 years of post-secondary professional accounting training in addition to a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience. An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.

This is an office-based position, and standards hours are 35 hours/week.

This is a permanent, full-time position based in Halifax.
Pay Grade: TE 22
Salary Range: $2,189.32 - $2,574.66 Bi-Weekly
