Reporting to the Manager, Family Managed Home Care, the Financial Analyst, contributes to the overall success of Finance and Corporate Services by providing effective support to Management and stakeholders in financial matters by preparing analysis, developing and maintaining reporting, and distributing information to internal and external stakeholders.

What will you do?

  • Provides support to various stakeholders of Finance Operations including: Family Managed Home Care, Bundled Care, Patient Services Accounting and more.
  • Processes transactions and prepares reporting for Family Managed Home Care.
  • Prepares and assists in the preparation of billing.
  • Provides support during meetings with clients.
  • Prepares and distributes monthly reporting and meets with stakeholders to explain significant variances.
  • Acts as a resource and contact for stakeholders (internal and external).
  • Provides support during external and client related audits.
  • Improves, automates and simplifies existing reporting.
  • Completes analysis of financial data, identifies trends, and provides recommendations.
  • Conducts ad-hoc analysis and provides value-added insights.
  • Supports and participates in continuous improvement projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What must you have?

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Business, Commerce or Finance (or related discipline).
  • Enrollment in Chartered Professional Accountant designation preferred.

Experience

  • 3 plus years of experience in accounting, reporting or planning in a medium sized organization.
  • Experience using MS Great Plains Dynamics Information System or another ERP.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, SQL server, SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of budgeting and analytical processes.
  • Knowledge and experience of healthcare.
  • Knowledge of Ontario Health atHome home/patient services and processes preferred.
  • Knowledge of Ontario Healthcare Reporting Standards (OHRS), ideally in a Ontario Health atHome setting preferred.
  • Bi-lingual French/English spoken and written would be an asset.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills

  • Consults with various departments to verify financial information
  • Ability to analyze financial data and provide insights to decision-makers.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all duties
  • Works in collaboration with the Manager, Family Managed Home Care.

  • Ability to speak French or another second language

Hours of Work

Monday to Friday 8:30am-4:30pm, subject to change (37.5 hours per week)

Position Location and Travel

Hybrid work model, subject to change.

The position may involve travel throughout Ontario Health atHome. A valid Ontario driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are required.
