SUMMARY:
The Director, Financial Reporting is responsible for all consolidated level financial reporting for the division, on a daily, weekly & periodic basis. The Director is also responsible for overseeing Head Office overhead expenses and the analysis, reporting & budgeting of various administrative departments. The Director is responsible for the maintenance and update of TM1 Cognos database, which is used for all major reporting & analysis in the Division, as well as the Blue Box Program.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITES:
- Oversee production of daily & weekly performance reports (sales, margin, labour)
- Oversee production of all consolidated period-end reporting
- Provide analysis and commentary on period-end results
- Manage and approve changes to general ledger structure and financial business warehouse structure (TM1).
- Analyse and ensure proper accrual of periodic Head Office expenses.
- Prepare budget for various admin departments, including head counts and other expenses
- Interact with all levels of the organization in relation to management and understanding of overhead expenses
- Liaise with Quebec based Corporate reporting team to ensure consistent reporting assumptions across provinces.
- Maintain structure of TM1 database; adding new locations, new accounts, creating new subsets as the business requires.
- Responsible for the understanding and the financial reporting of the Blue Box Program for Ontario and the overall impact it has on the business with updates to the programs.
- Working with Pro's to ensure Metro Ontario is in fulfilling its obligations in the various programs, and various departments internally in order to gather the required information.
- Coach employees to ensure progress and performance management. This includes establishing annual and long-term goals and objectives.
- Responsible for managing, directing, training and developing talent for their department.


QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor degree in business with a professional accounting designation an asset
- 7-10 years in progressive accounting or finance experience
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, business analytics tools, and ERP general ledger experience
- Advanced knowledge of Cognos TM1 an asset
- Previous experience leading and coaching a team
