As the General Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting the Finance Manager and accounting Manager producing monthly and annual financial statement in a timely manner as well as coordinating the Marketing Revenue Invoicing Process and AD HOC Reporting. What You'll Do:

  • Prepare JE's and maintain prepaid and capital assets schedules.
  • Ad hoc reporting including month-end overhead analysis, expenses accrual for all departments.
  • Ensure the month end activities and audit queries are completed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Account Reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
  • Prepare analysis of expense accounts as required
  • Prepare reconciliation of cost from e-package.
  • Posting invoices in relation to Marketing Income
  • Assisting with the Executive Reporting and coordination of information required
  • Support accounting Manager to prepare and organize balance sheet reconciliations with supporting documents
  • Prepare all the supporting documents for government audits.
  • Assist in Preparing Monthly HST/QST/ Filings
  • Support AP in the creation/ verification of new/ change in vendor maintenance
  • During weekly/ urgent payment runs assist in verification of invoices and amount paid.
  • Monthly preparation and analysis of overhead reporting for all departments.

What You'll Need:

  • Proficient in MS Office products - Excel
  • Effective team player
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented and consistently accurate
  • Able to work independently, effectively and constructively under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Achievement oriented; must be able to juggle multiple tasks, tight deadlines and changing priorities
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable when dealing with change
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to prioritize work: Review month end check list to make sure all the general Ledger transactions are posted.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Solid knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, laws and regulations: Support Finance department and other departments
  • 1-3 years work-related experience
