The incumbent will analyze and decision consumer and business applications using buying guidelines, to minimize financial risk for Honda and assist in sales of Honda and Acura product. The incumbent will support dealers with analyzing consumer applications, credit history, and inquiries as well as monitor risk related and escalated applications and processes, ensuring correct measures and guidelines are applied. The incumbent will also support other departments in relation to financial significance as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, verify and adjudicate credit applications according to Credit policies. Investigate and grant credit on applications received from Dealers on Ebiz by reviewing customers’ credit history, debt service and max advance guidelines

  • Negotiate terms and conditions on credit with dealers to ensure an acceptable level of risk. Provide Dealer support by answering inquiries related to consumer applications, programs, rate programs and vehicle residual values to maintain positive relationships

  • Coordinate workflows to ensure processing efficiency and accuracy

  • Assist in the development of credit policies and procedures required to ensure maximum efficiencies

  • Provide exceptional front line support to dealers by professionally answering questions pertaining to credit decisions and current programs

  • Perform other duties and support other departments as required


Qualifications:

  • Completed College Diploma or University Degree (preference in Business) and/or have equivalent related business experience is required
  • Bilingual (French/English – both oral and written) is required
  • Collections and/or Recovery experience is an asset
  • Hours of work (EST): Monday to Thursdays 8:00AM to 10:00 PM, Fridays 8:00AM to 8:30PM, Saturdays 8:30AM to 9:00PM (minimum of 2 Saturdays will be required)
  • Rotating shifts. Shifts will change based on business needs
  • Able to read Credit Bureaus and have strong research and analytical skills is required
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills in order to develop and maintain business relations
  • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and CASS) are required
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented, resourceful and self-reliant
  • Must be a team player, able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and willing to work overtime as required
  • Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision
  • Develops and maintains good working relationships with all members of the team.
  • Develops and maintains good working relationships within Honda North America as well as all other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop, establish and maintain good working relationship with Honda North America suppliers, partners, consultants, stakeholders and other network contacts.
  • Enjoys team-building approach of management and department - shares results.
