We are seeking a Manager, Tax based out of Markham, ON (Hybrid). Reporting to the Vice President, Controller, this role will responsible for overseeing all aspects of tax planning and compliance. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of corporate tax and hands-on experience in preparing corporate and partnership information returns.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparation of Canadian corporate tax returns and partnership information returns
• Prepare tax provisions and deferred tax calculation to support the Company's external financial statements including drafting of all related tax disclosures, and work with the external auditor on the audit of those tax provisions
• Provide support for tax planning initiatives aimed at minimizing corporate taxes and reducing risks associated with filing positions
• Research, analyze and provide recommendations on a variety of legislative and regulatory Canadian income tax, commodity and retail sales tax issues
• Prepare the necessary working papers and work with the external tax advisors on US tax compliance matters
• Review monthly sales tax returns and working papers
• Prepare 13 week rolling cash flow forecast for the Company and its subsidiaries
• Other ad-hoc analyses and tasks as assigned

The ideal candidate will possess:

• 4+ years of experience in corporate tax
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and CPA designation; completion of In-depth Tax Course would be an asset
• Experience with preparing Canadian corporate tax returns (T2) and partnership information returns (T5013), preferably using Tax Prep software
• Experience with tax provisions for corporate structure with multiple corporations and partnerships, preferably in the Technology sector, with Canada tax
• Successful track record working in team environments with proven ability to act as a business partner
