The Senior Systems Specialist, BCM is responsible for managing the successful delivery of North Americas Standard approach for the roll out of Warehouse Management System (WMS) modules on Solutions engagements, including leading implementations, upgrades, and/or extension of existing applications. Implementation and support of WMS solutions which naturally include design, configuration, and testing. The Senior Systems Specialist, BCM will provide functional and business process expertise to the project teams which generally consists of other IT resources, Operations resources, subcontractors, remote global resources, and client resources.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze and document client and business requirements.
• Design, configure, test, and implement WMS processes.
• Provide process optimization and improvement proposals based on business requirements.
• Train key- and end-users on designed processes and functionalities.
• Create functional designs for internal and external reports and documents.
• Create functional specifications for EDI integrations in cooperation with external parties and DSV Global IT.
• Keeps track and where needed escalates for on time delivery on deliverables requested from DSV Global IT.
• Gatekeeper for warehouse process standardization.
• Provide regular scheduled project updates to internal and external stakeholders.
• Analyze complex issues and client cases and provide sensible generic solutions.
• Write functional specifications based on business requirements for applications changes and improvements.
• Advocate and sell best practices and standardization to internal (and external) parties.
• Builds and maintains relationships with internal and external stakeholders to understand and anticipate customer needs for specific projects.

• Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• 3 to 5+ years' experience in working in a project-based environment.
• Able to articulate and voice own opinion and sell your warehouse process design.
• Readiness to travel - can be on short notice.
• Able to travel domestically and internationally (including Europe).
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent combinations of education and work experience preferred.
• Extensive knowledge on warehouse processes and supporting system landscapes.
• 3-5 years of experience with JDA WMS (dispatcher preferred) or other major WMS products.
• Experience with functional specifications for EDI integration.
• Experienced in working on small, fast paced project teams.
• Project management disciplines (e.g. project charters, project schedules, project plans, stakeholder progress reporting).
• Communication (facilitation skills and very mature communication skills to be able to communicate to all levels in the organization).
• Results driven (being dependable, being persistent/overcoming barriers, being productive, being resourceful, demonstrating work ethic, drive to achieve goals, IT compliance, prioritizing, reading, taking Initiative, taking ownership, working autonomously, project management skills).

Computer Skills:

• Proficiency in one or more WMS
• MS Office Suite
• SQL
• C# (nice to have)
• ASP.NET Framework (nice to have)
• MS SQL Server Management (nice to have)

Language Skills

• English (reading, writing, verbal)

Other Skills

• Working in a global multi-national organization.
• Supply chain domain knowledge (subject matter expert).
• Warehouse operational experience (Intermediate).
• Client presentation experience (progress & delivery updates, strategy articulation, technology capabilities & value add).
• Business & financial acumen (analyzing financial information, dealing with complexity, problem solving, using sound Judgment).
• Conviction (adapting to change, being flexible, finding work improvements, resolving conflicts).
• Customer passion (customer service).
• Personal integrity (behaving with integrity, sensitivity to others).
• SQL proficiency is a plus.
