What is the opportunity?
We are looking for a Business Insights and Analytics Manager to join our growing team of data engineers, scientists, developers and analysts. You will play a pivotal role in analyzing and detecting trends, and providing insights to our Advice Centre (AC) transformation and strategy business partners. You will be responsible for collaborating with product leads and data analysts to design, launch and iterate on user-centric data insights use cases.
What will you do?
- Develop analytics strategies and frameworks to support AC Strategy and Intelligence, leveraging statistics, metrics and models
- Regularly conduct analytics to identify patterns, trends and hidden causation and correlation relationships.
- Deliver reporting and analytics on transformational metrics to track the success of treatment plans.
- Design solutions which deliver data based insights to relevant stakeholders, simplify user experience and address user pain points
- Collaborate with data engineers to source and question and understand data
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
- 2+ years' experience in data analytics
- Ability to code fluently in Python, SQL and data visualization (Tableau or similar)
- Solid experience working with popular Python libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and notebook environments
- Advanced capabilities in using Hadoop ecosystem (Spark, HDFS, Hive)
- Proven experience in using RBC's data warehouse and data lake environment
- Qualitative and quantitative capabilities, and solid experience in utilizing data to inform a story to drive change
- Strong understanding of data and statistics, with the ability to convert insights into action effectively
- Professional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate between technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Undergraduate degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, economics or related quantitative field

- Advice/Contact Centre knowledge
