What is the opportunity?

The RBC Insurance Supplier Management Office (SMO) oversees the activities, roles, relationships, artifacts, tools, technologies and reporting that support and enable best practices with respect to the management of Third Party Suppliers, and Non-Supplier Third Parties (NSTP) and Intra-group Arrangements (IGAs). In this position, you will lead all Risk Management activities, and minimum reporting requirements as outlined by RBC Third Party Risk with the primary intent to meet due diligence and regulatory requirements. You will lead the Governance & Controls team and will work closely with the Director, Operational Partnerships to support RBCI key stakeholders and suppliers.

What will you do?

•Manage Governance & Controls team; ensuring key deliverables are understood and met and providing training and coaching to achieve growth in team members experience and performance

•The communication and implementation of programs (e.g. Third Party risk management, supplier relationship management) developed by 2nd Line of Defence and/or relevant functional units to ensure compliance with Enterprise Third Party risk management policies and standards.

•Serve as a delegate for Insurance at Enterprise and peer level forums, representing the Insurance viewpoint amongst Third Party Risk and other Supplier Management Offices.

• Participate in initiatives related to Third Party Risk and Enterprise activities and lead audit related and other critically sensitive activities, leveraging team as needed.

•Identify opportunities and efficiencies of Third Party Risk processes, staff capacity, Supplier Risk and Relationship programs and assess initiatives' impact on Insurance SMO and supplier management community.

What will you need to succeed?

•Minimum 5 years in supplier relationship management with an in depth knowledge of the OSFI B10 Folio and RBC Enterprise Third Party Risk Policy and Standards.

•Ability to work collaboratively with partners to find joint solutions to complex business problems and supplier management strategies; active listener, respectfully challenges, strong influencer and negotiator.

•High level understanding of all RBC supplier management infrastructure, services, and organization

•Demonstrated ability to drive deliverables to completion.

• Strong planning, analytical & critical thinking, organizational, change management, team leadership, meeting management and facilitation skills.

•Ability to work effectively with all levels of management.
