Job Description:

Join our Enterprise Front-end Development Practice, where you will be designing unique User Interfaces and pioneering digital experiences across various platforms. Our advanced and innovative teams spearhead the design and development of creative front-end solutions across multiple business lines and internal departments, ensuring that we remain industry leaders in UI development.

What will you do:

  • Collaborate with system architects, business analysts, application analysts, and QA specialists to deliver top-notch solutions.
  • Engage in the development process and take ownership of project deliverables.
  • Participate in various review activities such as code reviews, requirement analysis, test planning, and design evaluations to gain a comprehensive understanding of the application and contribute feedback.
  • Support projects from initiation through planning, requirements gathering, development, implementation, and post-launch evaluations.
  • Propose enhancements to existing code to improve the user interface experience for our clients.

What Do You Need to Succeed?

  • 7 to 10 years of Professional, hands-on frontend development experience
  • Expertise in JavaScript/ES6, React.js, HTML, CSS/SCSS, Webpack, XML/JSON
  • Expertise in CSS frameworks like Bootstrap or similar frameworks
  • Experience with Design Systems (Storybook.js, Figma etc.)
  • Working experience with unit testing using JEST and React Testing Library
  • Experience with web accessibility guidelines, accessibility tools, and assistive technologies
  • Expert in developer tools, system tracing and debugging technique
  • Expertise in developing responsive web design and testing across multiple browsers, devices and platforms
  • Experience building single page applications
  • Keep up to date with trends and changes in the UI space
  • Experience with web development stacks including AXIOS, react-bootstrap, React Context, Node.js or similar.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with Adobe Experience Manager
  • Familiarity with end-to-end testing - Integration testing, UI Testing, Performance testing example: Use of tools such as Cucumber, Playwright, Sauce lab, Google lighthouse, Selenium

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance.
