As the BCP Manager, you will be responsible to ensure:
An effective and up-to-date business continuity management program based on industry standards and validated through periodic testing. Disruptive business risk will be managed establishing a high level of confidence to overcome business disruptions within tolerance. Your experience will include BCP/DR activities including multi-site and multi-process environments leading cross functional Business Continuity efforts including Business Recovery, Disaster Recovery, and Emergency / Pandemic Response
HERE'S HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE:
Develop, implement, and maintain Business Continuity Program based on business/ customer/regulatory compliance requirements and industry best practices.
Maintain a keen awareness of industry and technological developments in the field of business continuity planning leading discussion about potential improvements
Design, develop, implement, maintain and test the overall business continuity plans for critical technology and operational functions in order to meet the overall service needs of FCT and maintain a leadership role in any actual business recovery efforts.
Ensure the maintenance of the BCP/DR plans are handled in an effective and efficient manner to ensure the impact of a significant outage is minimized and services are restored to an agreed upon service level to allow the organization to function normally.
Liaise with all lines of business to ensure strategies and recommendations are consistent with departmental requirements and the organization's technology architecture and monitor business continuity plan development to identify common (cross departmental) business recovery needs and exposures
Establish annual testing and exercise methodology, documenting results and identifying recommendations for enhancements to business continuity plans/procedures and educate all staff on business continuity planning by establishing and maintaining a Business Continuity Training Program.
Establish, manage and execute Business Impact Analysis processes required to establish effective recovery strategies and processes
Create recommendations for additional risk mitigation measures for review with the Senior Management Team.
Lead, establish and manage (where applicable) Emergency and Pandemic Response Processes within FCT
Participate in contractual negotiations with FCT clients as SME in the area of BCP
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
Five to seven years' management experience in business continuity planning and disaster recovery.
Current industry standard techniques and technologies as well as the methods used in performing risk analyses and business impact analyses
Information technology functions and services in order to assist in the preparation of recovery procedures in this area
Technology functions and services in order to assist in the preparation of BC recovery procedures and also DR testing exercises
Participation leading Emergency and/or Crisis Management Team
Both information security and computer science
Superior communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal effectively with all levels of the organization as well as outside vendors/suppliers
