As a Manager, Business Intelligence and Data Governance you are accountable for the next major phase of this work. You will lead a high-profile initiative in transforming FCT's BI processes, tools, and strategies, to ensure data driven insights are core to every team's decision making.

On the Data Governance side, you are responsible for overseeing and executing our robust data governance framework that ensures the quality, integrity, security, and privacy of FCT and our customers' data. You'll work closely with a cross-functional team of data stewards, Legal, and Information Security to ensure our data governance framework continues to evolve by creating policies and ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.

HERE'S HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE:

Business Intelligence

  • Execute a comprehensive BI transformation strategy that aligns with organizational goals and future needs.

  • Lead the team in re-platforming of BI systems and processes, transitioning to self-service BI tools ensuring a smooth transition from existing systems.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify key areas for improvement and develop a roadmap for BI transformation initiatives.

  • Work closely with cross-functional technical team, specifically data engineering team to ensure the successful deployment of BI platforms and solutions.

  • Serve as a change agent, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organization.

  • Create and manage a platform for training and support to end-users, ensuring they can effectively leverage new BI tools and platforms.

  • Communicate progress, key milestones, and challenges to senior leadership and relevant stakeholders.

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the BI transformation process to measure the impact of BI solutions on business outcomes.

  • Ensure continuous optimization and improvement of BI tools and processes based on user feedback and business needs.

  • Conduct post-implementation reviews and analyses to identify areas for improvement and ensure long-term success.

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of BI analysts, data specialists, and project managers involved in transformation initiatives.

  • Foster collaboration across cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth execution of BI transformation projects.

  • Oversee the timely creation of BI products and outputs for senior management, executive leadership team, and business stakeholders, ensuring data accuracy and relevance.

  • Stay informed of the latest trends, tools, and technologies in business intelligence and analytics, sharing insights and recommendations with the broader team.

Data Governance

  • Continue to evolve our comprehensive data governance strategy and framework that aligns with business goals and regulatory requirements.

  • Establish and maintain data governance policies, processes, and standards for data stewardship, quality, security, and privacy.

  • Implement data quality management processes, including data validation, data profiling, data cleansing, data quality reporting and issue management.

  • Collaborate with data stewards and data owners across departments to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.

  • Oversee metadata management and maintain a comprehensive data catalog to facilitate data discovery and usability.

  • Provide guidance and training to data stewards, business units, and IT teams on data governance best practices.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant data privacy and protection regulations and other industry-specific standards by working with appropriate teams (i.e., Legal and Information Security).

  • Lead and coach a team of data governance professionals, data stewards, and analysts. Success extends beyond just business OKRs and includes professional growth of all members of the team.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Bachelor's degree in data science, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.

  • 8+ years of experience in business intelligence, 3+ years of experience in data governance with proven experience of leading team(s) in these functions.

  • Previous experience in successfully managing BI transformation or modernization projects (especially from a legacy tool to Power BI) would be a tremendous asset and will take priority as part of the selection process.

  • Intermediate+ experience with SQL and BI tools (Power BI, MicroStrategy, Business Objects, SSRS, etc.) is required to be successful in this role.

  • Strong knowledge of data architecture, data modeling, ETL processes, and cloud-based BI solutions.

  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, policies, and industry best practices.

  • Familiarity with data governance tools, such as Erwin DI, Collibra, Informatica, or Alation.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Experience in change management and fostering data-driven cultures.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.

  • Naturally curious with an ability to formulate questions at varying depths to uncover needs, hunt for misalignment, and grow an understanding of our business.

  • Self-starter and can work independently to achieve desired business outcomes.

  • Ability to coach, develop and foster growth in team members as well as an ability to work collectively and influence a variety of cross-functional teams with varied skill sets and experiences when it comes to all things data.
