MD Management Limited, a division of Scotia Wealth Management, has an exciting opportunity for a talented, enthusiastic, and client-focused Virtual Wealth Associate to join our team
As a Virtual Wealth Associate you will be responsible for Contributing to the overall success of Virtual Channels/ MD Management/ Canadian Wealth Management ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Actively respond to client requests regarding MD products and services with an eye to ensuring an optimal client experience.
  • Recommend appropriate solutions to transaction and other administrative issues and ensure accurate administration of all client transactions and compliance requirements, minimizing risk and expense to the company.
  • Be responsible for the review and approval of managed account applications (MD ExO Direct), ensuring completion and accuracy of the applications and will update the online managed account program to ensure suitability of recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with all industry regulations and MD Financial program and process requirements
  • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
  • Champion a high performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment.


The Must Haves:

  • University Degree or College Diploma
  • Completion of all Regulatory Courses necessary to obtain and maintain RR Licensing
  • Demonstrated client service experience within the financial services industry
  • Extensive knowledge of Financial Services rules and regulations
