Job Summary

Job Description

As a Business Transformation Summer Analyst within RBC Capital Market's Business Transformation & Governance (BT&G) group, you will support RBC's regulatory and transformational projects across multiple Business and IT teams in RBC.

For this role, we are looking for an eager and high performing individual to work closely with Business Transformation Program Leads to assist in various project management activities, including managing, tracking, and reporting on the project's delivery. Extensive interactions across Business and IT groups will make this a valuable learning opportunity for any student interested in the implementation of cross-functional programs across Capital Markets.

What will you do?

Working under the direction of the Business Transformation Program Leads, you will support them by:

  • Creating and maintaining project artefacts, meeting materials, reports and status updates
  • Monitoring project schedules, deliverables, and milestones
  • Assisting with communications and tracking action items to closure
  • Developing relationships and coordinating across teams to facilitate project execution
  • Contributing ideas and concerns, and escalating issues for resolution

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • General knowledge of Financial Services industry
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to interact effectively with project managers, team members and senior business stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • SharePoint usage and development (ie: experience working with SharePoint lists)

Nice-to-have

  • Capital Markets product and regulatory knowledge would be an asset
