What is the opportunity?

The Administrator plays a significant role in the production and verification of financial data to produce financial statements within prescribed deadlines. The incumbent identifies and resolves reporting problems and works with the business units to ensure corrective action/s and proper procedures are in place. These positions work closely with coordinating groups and internal groups for processing and/or reconciling of relevant transactions within their respective business units, project management along with daily trade and reconciliation of assets for Institutional and Private Wealth Clients. The candidate will work with management and other teams to collect data to understand dependencies and drive impact by assisting management in presenting data and driving change. The incumbent places a high priority on accuracy and timeliness.

What will you do?

  • Provide analytical and project management support to business units as well as operational day-to-day support to our processing and reconciliation teams.
  • Identify and resolve business unit queries relating to financial transactions and work with internal/external contacts to ensure corrective actions and proper procedures are put in place.
  • Process & reconcile relevant entries to respective financial systems and platforms where and when applicable.
  • Ensure that RBCIS quality initiative is fully endorsed and integrated into the day-to-day processes along with DOPs update annually or upon change.
  • Establish an environment of continuous improvement that assesses workflow, processes, and procedures on an ongoing basis, ensuring maximum efficiency and quality within the department.
  • Investigate issues relating to the administration of the client account on a timely basis.
  • Attend internal meetings as required to expedite the resolution to issue and provide timely support within the team as needed.
  • Participate in cross-training for back-up purposes.
  • Ensure compliance with procedures related to all operational processes. Achievement of satisfactory audit rating to be achieved.
  • Eliminate E&O's (Errors and Omissions) due to non-compliance of established procedures or failure to escalate a situation that could potentially cause a process failure. Responsibility lies with the processor, authorizer(s) and reconciliation officer.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Post-secondary degree or equivalent, preferably in Business or Finance
  • Demonstrated success working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage competing priorities, as well as multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, demonstrating strong collaboration skills
  • IT literacy including the Microsoft Office suite of products, and digital knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability interact with partners effectively in person, via email and on the phone

Nice-to-have

  • Track record in building rapport and maintaining client relationships within the financial industry
