Analyst, Publishing, Design and Communications - RBC Economics

What is the opportunity?

Support the RBC Economics team in the publishing of its content and reports to the RBC Economics' website through a content management system and across their email distribution lists using Salesforce. Provide communications graphic design support for team related content being published and for the development of the team's PowerPoint presentations.

Also includes support for the execution of the team's LinkedIn account and other social media accounts as they are adopted by the group, along with the responsibility for the management and ongoing development of the RBC Economics' website.

What will you do?

Web Content Production

• Create web pages using WordPress for each piece of content and report being published on the RBC Economics website and manage the strategic placement on the homepage.
• Manage the website's homepage, curation, organization and ongoing development under guidance.
• Leverage web analytics and data to report back to the team on an ongoing basis re the adoption and use of different content being published and the overall performance of the web site with actionable insights and recommendations.

Email Communications

• Develop email alerts specific to each publication to send to subscriber distribution lists.
• Distribute the emails via Salesforce.
• Manage the RBC Economics email distribution and subscription lists.

Graphic Design

• Develop charts and infographics to support specific content and reports being published.
• Assist economists with ongoing design and layout of their PowerPoint presentations.
• Create graphics for social media posts.
• Manage and overseer all the different design templates being used across the team including web, email and PowerPoint

Social Media

• Oversee the ongoing development of the team's social media strategy
• Support the execution, development a design of social media posts via LinkedIn.
• Work with the managing editor on content and post promotion on social media.
• Help in collecting data on social media performance.

What you need to succeed?
Must-have

• A minimum of two years' experience is required.
• A background in design, email and web communications.
• Knowledge of WordPress or other content management systems, basic HTML /CSS, Salesforce, and PowerPoint.
• Experience working in Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator.
• Knowledge of social media best practices and LinkedIn specifically.
• Experience in website design and layout.

Nice-to-have

• Undergraduate or college degree in graphic design or communications.
• Understanding of social media software Hearsay and Sprinklr.
• Experience working in Everviz and Macrobond.
• Interest in macroeconomics.
