The Term Lending System is a servicing system and book of record system for BNS mortgage. TLS is using FIS Profile Tool to maintain services to our client and business stakeholders. We are looking for a FIS Profile Developer who can understand and work independently on profile code. The candidate will have opportunity to participate in solution design and lead development work with support of other team members. Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Work on FIS Profile tool.

  • Work with Business partner, BSA, Architect etc team to develop design/solution for new project/feature.

  • Troubleshoot issue occurring on current system, identify the root cause and fix it.

  • Work with Project manager, scrum master and lead the team of developers.

  • Work with key stakeholders within all business functions to align technology solutions with business strategies.

  • Demonstrate an informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities.

  • Support one or more highly complex business processes.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?

  • Strong knowledge for FIS Profile Tool is mandatory. Candidate should be able understand, update, create new code using FIS Profile Scripting language.

  • Strong knowledge for FIS Data Base - MUMPS is required.

  • Able to access core FIS code through GTM and able to run various command to perform view, edit, delete functions.

  • Knowledge of UNIX/LINUX (AIX platform) is required.

  • Strong knowledge of SQL and Database is needed.

  • Experience with Database connectivity (JDBC, JTDC)

  • 10+ years of hands-on technical experience in software development and supporting complex large-scale customer facing platforms.

  • Able to work independently and can lead team of developers to deliver required output. Should be able to coordinate/manage overall delivery working with different teams (Business, QA, PM etc).

  • Able to understand and work on Java 8/Spring, API information technology principles, and system integration methodologies and standards.

  • Should be able to understand business requirement, create technical design documents, perform coding, unit testing and able to deploy the code to various environment.

  • Excellent Analytical abilities, problem solving skills and good communication skills is required.

  • Financial banking experience (preferably in mortgage area) is required.

  • Strong trouble-shooting skills to solve the problems.

  • Well-rounded knowledge of Agile principles and the flexibility to adapt your experience to new and evolving environments.

  • Strong experience using Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Bitbucket, GitHub, ACCP etc is required
