What is the opportunity?

In this role, you will be responsible for the effective leadership and oversight of the Data Service Delivery Pricing team. You will ensure that the Pricing team consistently delivers a high level of service to our partners and clients in terms of accuracy, timeliness, data quality and responsiveness. The role will require you to establish, implement and maintain key controls. You will be responsible for streamlining procedures while continuously identifying and addressing gaps in the team's Design and Operating model. You will also be responsible for mitigating any risks related to pricing deliverables. You will lead the team through a large-scale transformation with the objective to simplify processes, deliver prices faster with superior quality, enhance client experience, provide innovative solutions, onboard new clients seamlessly and create added value across all RBC IS.

What will you do?

  • Accountable and responsible for global pricing delivery for RBC IS applications in addition to leading the team through a large-scale transformation and change.
  • Develop and implement the Target Operating Model for Data Service Delivery. Ensure employees understand our vision, as well as support and reinforce client centric behavior.
  • Own pricing from end to end: from market data vendor file intake to price mastering, pricing hierarchies, data quality controls and exports to downstream applications.
  • Ensure the proper functioning and completeness of all the activities related to the Pricing Team.
  • Align processes with the Security Master set up team, market data vendors and downstream lines of business to ensure seamless delivery of pricing files and accurate data.
  • Accountable for pricing processes, procedures validation and ensuring all team documentation is up to date and effectively utilized by staff.
  • Provide pricing and operational expertise to assess market and competitive developments to improve our products and service offering.
  • Stay current with industry updates such as market data vendor changes, financial market, regulatory and/or reporting changes that governs the business.
  • Implement and maintain a robust training plan, identifying any gaps in training and ensuring the gaps are addressed in a timely manner across the pricing team.
  • Ensure continuity of operations and service during emergency or unexpected situations (i.e. business application outages, unexpected staffing shortages, building evacuation) through active situation management and escalating as necessary for assistance.
  • Establish targets to measure service quality and effectiveness against appropriate benchmarks.
  • Develop and implement Data Service Delivery strategy, initiatives and projects.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in the Financial Services industry, particularly with Pricing data and processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead effectively in difficult situations, solve problems and implement innovative solutions within tight timelines in high pressure situations.
  • Proven track record of delivering large scale transformation projects and leading operational teams through major changes.
  • Successful talent management & succession planning strategy implementation to ensure we attract, retain and grow top talent at all levels.
  • Strong client communication and presentation skills.
