Your opportunity

The Associate Manager role will lead audit and review engagements and various other client service engagements. This position is also responsible to supervise and train assurance staff.

Your major responsibilities

  • Prepare assurance engagements and related compilation of financial statement engagements
  • Supervise and review work of Associates where necessary
  • Completion of all planning documents, scheduling and leadership of planning meetings
  • Accountability for engagement completion and communicate all deadlines are met and communicated internally and with clients
  • Set and work within approved budgets and deadlines
  • Prepare and review corporate tax returns related to assurance engagements
  • Clear all notes made by Managers and Partners
  • Obtain and maintain a strong understanding of clients businesses and respond promptly to client needs
  • Train, supervise and evaluate work by engagement for team as well as junior team members.

          What we look for

            • Completion of CPA designation
            • 4-5 years of progressive experience in a public accounting practice focused in Audit and Assurance
            • Experience managing team members from engagement planning to completion
            • Expert knowledge in Caseware/Caseview, Tax Prep and MS Excel
            • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
            • Experienced application of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE)
