What is the opportunity?

As a Lending Services Associate, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of the loan operations workflows. This role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of loan processing and servicing, and the ability to collaborate across teams to resolve complex issues. The ideal candidate has experience in financial services, loan operations, and thrives in detail-intensive environments.

Depending on portfolio allocation, this role could be appointed to either US or Canada portfolio (both located in Toronto)

What will you do?

  • Support end-to-end operations for loan origination, processing, servicing, and reporting, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and policies.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on loan operations, providing insights, solutions, and analysis for any operational challenges.
  • Prepare and analyze reports related to loan performance, processing timelines, exception handling, and other key metrics.
  • Collaborate with various internal departments to address and resolve issues, improve workflows, and deliver excellent service.
  • Conduct periodic audits and reviews of loan-related documentation and processes for accuracy and adherence to standards.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend changes to improve productivity and minimize errors.
  • Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to junior team members as needed.
  • Assist in loan system testing, enhancements, and implementation of process improvements.
  • Act as a liaison between loan operations and other business units to ensure seamless communication and consistency.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance/Accounting/Mathematics, or any quantitative degrees
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word
  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
  • Ability to prioritize, work under pressure and meet time sensitive deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills and Detail Oriented

Nice-to-have

  • Knowledge of ACBS, LoanIQ
  • Knowledge of loan products, loan processing and payment methods
