What is the Opportunity?

Global Functions Technology (GFT) is part of RBC's Technology and Operations division. GFT's impact is far-reaching as we collaborate with partners from across the company to deliver innovative and transformative IT solutions. Our clients represent Risk, Finance, HR, CAO, Audit, Legal, Compliance, Financial Crime, Capital Markets, Personal and Commercial Banking and Wealth Management. We also lead the development of digital tools and platforms to enhance collaboration.

What will you do?

  • Conducting research and analysis on the effectiveness and efficiency of current processes and systems; delivering report findings.

  • Providing guidance and technical support during the implementation and configuration process for ERP solutions.

  • Performing prototyping, unit testing and in-depth testing of ERP solutions to ensure all problems and concerns are properly solved.

  • Designing and deploying ERP applications and modules according to approved solution design documentation.

  • Elicit and analyze Business requirements and create detailed documentation such as current and future state business process, user stories, data catalogues, business rules, use cases and user interface design etc.

  • Understand existing application flows, system architecture, upstream/downstream integrations, and business rules.

  • Own requirements capture, documentation, requirement, and coordination of signoffs by Business and IT teams.

  • Ensure traceability and coverage to all business requirements (functional/non-functional) during the QA cycles.

  • Independently manage business and IT stakeholders, drive project meetings. Be hands on with the solution and perform validation of delivery to business for ensuring scope elements are delivered as per the plan.

  • Incorporate enterprise standard requirements methodology in requirements planning, analysis and documentation.

  • Support User Acceptance Testing by supporting planning, development of test cases and execution of tests.

  • Communicate effectively, written and verbal, to various audiences (technical and non-technical).

  • Inclined to learn new technologies, grow with every project & contribute to the team's success.

  • Experience with SQL queries

What do you need to succeed?

Must-Have:

  • Ability to analyze and understand business vision / data / requirement to support decision making and effectively present information.

  • Knowledge & experience in Agile & Waterfall SDLC.

  • Exceptional documentation skills to ensure traceability & coverage of all positive & negation scenarios in the solution.

  • Solution oriented approach with an ability to keep things moving under demanding situations.

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work independently under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with an ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management.

  • Strong analytical, problem identification and resolution skills.

  • Great attention to detail, organizational skills, and an analytical mind.

Nice-to-have

  • RBC BA/BSA Curriculum Certificate

  • Master Certificate in Business Analysis

  • Prior experience in enterprise-level

  • Past testing experience in APIs using Postman

  • Knowledge of current Accessibility standards (AODA and WCAG 2.0/2.1)
