We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our Technology team in our Toronto office!

As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible of overseeing the improvement of BFL CANADA's operations as they relate to adding new technology and services and improving existing systems. You will be the ongoing interface between business and IT teams, define business requirements, document business process maps and contribute to the coordination of change management activities to make requirements a reality.

Your Day as a Business Analyst

  • Prepare to various customer-focused workshops/user groups to elicit business and workflow requirements.
  • Capture, review and analyze stakeholder requirements and report on the findings.
  • Understand business objectives, how systems and processes are interconnected and map workflows.
  • Conduct gap analysis to determine the steps that need to be taken to meet business requirements and objectives.
  • Contribute to building the actionable plans/roadmaps including key milestones, dates, priorities and interdependencies.
  • Work closely with the technical teams to ensure that the identified changes in processes and business requirements are transitioned into IT solutions.
  • Identify quantifiable measures/ KPIs such as time spent on tasks to determine the success or progress of the proposed solutions.
  • Act as an internal consultant, working closely with stakeholders to quickly understand issues and help lead the identification and definition of the solution.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science or a related field.
  • 2-3 years' experience in consulting or project management or in an analytical role within projects/programs is an asset; however, recent graduates will be considered.
  • A change mindset with an eye for continuous improvement and "can-do attitude".
  • Analytical and attention to detail
  • Highly collaborative with strong people skills.
  • Action-oriented team player.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent skills with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
