We are the Strategic Finance and Operations team for the Chief Technology Office playing a pivotal role in TELUS' success. Our portfolio encompasses critical areas such AI, Technology Strategy, and Network Infrastructure. Our core responsibilities include strategic business planning, operational expense and benefits management to help solve complex business challenges and help achieve operational and strategic goals.

What you'll do

  • Collaborate with teams across TELUS to drive strategic initiatives that drive EBITDA growth
  • Lead new and exciting projects, deep-dive data, drive business analyses/investigations, develop and present insights to senior leaders to support financial decision-making
  • Work with all levels of leadership to create buy-in, alignment and a sense of urgency
  • Work with our partners to identify cost saving opportunities to support prioritization and re-investment decisions

What you bring

  • 5+ years of experience providing business planning and financial operational support and expertise to senior leaders
  • Recognized for your business acumen, problem-solving prowess and advanced analytical and financial skills
  • Passion for driving automation, efficiencies and simplification, you are always looking for ways to improve processes through your experience and/or business tools
  • Effectively balance strategic thinking with tactical action, seamless collaboration with senior leaders, technology experts and enablement primes
  • Exceptional storytelling and communication skills with the ability to transform the complex into the simple via multiple mediums - verbal, written and visual
  • Demonstrate a growth mindset, are a proactive, high-performing individual and thrive in the fast-paced and dynamic nature of this exciting business environment
  • Experience in facilitation for all levels of leadership, including a high degree of comfort and confidence working directly with senior leaders

Great to haves

  • University degree in Business, Finance or Accounting, Engineering
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and/or graduate degree (MBA, etc.)
  • Telecommunication/technology knowledge or experience
  • Google Suite proficiency
  • 5+ years of working knowledge of strategic financial planning methodologies
