What is the opportunity?

A new and exciting within the WMC, DS Business Risk and Internal Controls. Reporting to the Senior Manager - WMC Business Risk and Internal Controls, you will be responsible for reviewing and processing Offshore Mutual Funds AML, Compliance and Due Diligence inquires and report your findings and recommendations in a timely manner to AML or Senior Manager for review and approval.

What will you do?

  • Become the expert in Cross-Border Policy across RBC Wealth Management (DS Global, CAC, DSD, PH&N).
  • Become Secretary and prepare monthly agenda/minutes for HRC/PEP Sub-Committee.
  • Maintain DSNet offshore fund content including annual updates to DSNet docs (share class summary, KIIDs, master fund list).
  • Responsible for confirming the fee billing classification for offshore funds.
  • Responsible for reviewing, analyzing and determining the level of due diligence required on
  • domestic prospect clients. Request NRR/ERR from IA/IC see and complete the case review.
  • Prepare Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly and Annual reports and answer complex inquiries regarding Trust Structures, POA, LODs.
  • Liaise with AML, Legal, Compliance, Tax and Advisors/Associates. Maintain accurate records, ensuring integrity of data (incl. Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel and ClientSource)
  • Conducting OLWI, Worldcheck and Open-Source searches and answering all inquiries regarding PCUSA compliance Manual, DS US Resident policy & PH&N US Resident policy.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent
  • Knowledge/Experience with mutual funds
  • Banking or securities background in the area of risk and compliance
  • Experience interpreting legal language
  • Comfortable in public speaking, the ability to present to the stakeholders and organizing meeting for ad hoc committee.
  • Attention to detail, time management and analytical thinking

Nice-to-have

  • ACAMS CSC/Investment Funds Course
  • Law Clerk/Paralegal experience
  • The Investment Funds Institute of Canada (IFIC) Course
