We're seeking an intermediate-level Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Developer with strong experience in data ingestion and pipeline development. In this role, you'll design, build, and maintain scalable data processing pipelines that power our analytics and decision-making capabilities.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Design and implement data ingestion frameworks using GCP services such as Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, and Dataflow
  • Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to process structured and unstructured data
  • Create efficient data transformation workflows using technologies like Apache Beam, Dataflow, and BigQuery
  • Monitor and optimize pipeline performance, ensuring data accuracy and timely delivery
  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and implement solutions
  • Document technical processes and maintain code quality through reviews and testing
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline issues with minimal supervision
  • Identify interdependencies when analysing problems to develop feasible innovative solutions in compliance with security.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • 2-4 years of experience with GCP data services
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, or Go preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience with data pipeline development and ETL/ELT processes
  • Strong understanding of GCP services: Dataflow, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub
  • Experience with data processing frameworks like Apache Beam or Spark
  • Knowledge of database systems, data modeling, and SQL
  • Ability to work with both batch and streaming data processing patterns
  • Version control experience with Git and CI/CD workflows

Nice to have:

  • GCP Professional Data Engineer certification
  • Experience with Kubernetes and containerization technologies
  • Knowledge of data governance and security best practices
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (Looker, Data Studio)
  • Understanding of machine learning pipelines and MLOps
  • Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager
