You will be responsible for developing and delivering communication and implementation plans for all initiatives that touch internal and external stakeholders to ensure initiatives land with impact, are well activated, embedded and sustained and have the desired outcome.

What will you do?

  • Work with the senior leadership team to identify ways to drive growth and leverage stories - leading to execution of key initiatives and enabling strategy.
  • Client Impact: Build and own strong relationships with partners, stakeholders, and internal teams. Serve as the primary contact for all events and communications efforts.
  • Strategic Insight: Develop a deep understanding of each business segment context and leverage this to craft tailored, effective communications strategies.
  • Integrated Communications: Collaborate with other corporate communications and enterprise teams to deliver on strategic priorities. Lead the execution of integrated marketing communications with a focus on oneRBC storytelling and a digital always-on approach. Stay ahead of trends and understand what makes a story resonate across different channels.
  • Exceptional Service Delivery: Deliver top-tier services with the ability to counsel and interact effectively with owners and senior management at client organizations.
  • Event Management: Plan both employee & client events, ensuring the best possible impact and positive outcomes for all stakeholders.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor, coach, and support team members, driving their development and holding them accountable to performance standards. Lead cross-functional teams to execute strategies on time and within budget.
  • Crisis Management: Act as the escalation point for the team, navigating and resolving issues as they arise.
  • Financial Stewardship: Effectively manage team utilization and maintain financial responsibility for assigned budget.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Experience: 5+ years in corporate communications, with a proven track record in developing and executing successful communications plans.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically, creatively, and holistically about employee engagement & client growth opportunities. Exceptional ability at cultivating relationships and collaborating with peers and colleagues across multiple lines of business and platforms.
  • Project Management: Expertise in project management, with experience managing client budgets and allocating resources effectively.
  • Event Planning: Experience in planning and high-profile impact (internal & external)

Nice-to-have

  • Leadership: Strong leadership and people management skills, with a history of mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
  • Media Expertise: Knowledge of RBC landscape, including traditional and digital media
