Job Description:

Director, Infrastructure Debt - SLC Management

What Is in It for You:

As a Director, Infrastructure Debt you will be responsible for all aspects of underwriting new private debt transactions (including financial and investment analysis; seeking internal approvals; reviewing and negotiating legal documentation, etc.) and the portfolio management of existing private infrastructure debt investments. The Infrastructure Debt team finances major global infrastructure assets, including assets across the following key sectors: energy; energy infrastructure; social infrastructure; transportation; and digital.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Contribute to new business volume objectives by sourcing, analyzing and structuring of investment opportunities that demonstrate an acceptable risk/return and sustainability characteristics
  • Evaluate potential investments for portfolio suitability by conducting company and industry research, comparable analysis and due diligence
  • Negotiate terms and structure of investments with borrowers and legal counsel to mitigate risks and enhance returns
  • Integrate environmental, social and governance (ESG) considerations into investment analysis
  • Prepare detailed, and well-written investment recommendations
  • Complete assigned portfolio management responsibilities including consents, investment monitoring reports, quarterly investment monitoring requirements and regular review of credit ratings
  • Maintain in-depth understanding of current market trends and activities
  • Develop expertise, track, and become the go-to person for specific infrastructure sectors
  • Maintain accurate transaction records to track deal flow and progression through the transaction lifecycle

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • 5-10 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or Mathematics
  • MBA and/or CFA (or progress towards) considered an asset
  • Project finance or investment background gained in a transaction, analytical or credit role

Preferred skills:

  • Detailed knowledge of fundamental principles of debt and equity markets and instruments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Understanding of legal documentation
  • Comprehensive skills in interpreting and analyzing financial statements
  • Strong organizational abilities and ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively and eager to take on responsibility
  • Collaborative and collegial attitude

Salary Range

110,500/110 500 - 178,500/178 500

The Base Pay range is for the primary location of the job. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
