What is the Opportunity?

The Director, Wealth Initiatives & Partnerships oversees and directs the execution of industry-leading experiences through growth capabilities aligned to WMC's Client AA Strategy. This position will focus on the strategic enablement, product development and business initiatives leveraging digital and data capabilities across Royal Trust, WMFS Insurance, Family Office Services and Cross-LOB partnerships.

What will you do?

  • Oversee and lead tactical direction and delivery of digital initiatives for Royal Trust, WMFS Insurance and Family Office Services to enable and support WMC Client AA ambitions.
  • Responsibility of strategically and digitally enabling WMC's Partnership strategy across the enterprise to drive commercial outcomes for the overall business.
  • Generate opportunities for Cross-LOB/Banking product partnerships and develop and execute digital client experience, retention, and acquisition strategies.
  • Leverages Data teams, Product Office, Strategy, Visioning & Planning, and other resources to drive and execute Business Growth Initiatives.
  • Collaborates with WMC functions, as well as T&O delivery teams to ensure product & capability offerings that meet the strategic growth goals of each WMC business.
  • Ensure that employees understand RBC vision, as well as support and reinforce targeted behaviors that contribute to RBC goals, and managing performance that does not align to goals and values.
  • Provide focus and clarity in establishing individual goals and performance targets, driving performance management, supporting career development, and rewarding strong performance.
  • Leverage the value in unit, department, and enterprise-wide teams to develop better solutions and achieve a cross enterprise mindset.
  • Accept and successfully execute change while supporting employees through the process and keeping them focused on business priorities.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • University Degree in business, finance or economics (Preferably with an MBA)
  • 10-15 years of business, finance, investment management, or related experience, preferably in Financial Services
  • High degree of PC Literacy and experience using industry standard software (i.e. Word, Excel, Visio, MS project, PowerPoint)
  • Strong knowledge of other Wealth management products and services
  • Must be a proven leader in the Wealth Management space with Strategic Orientation, Business Acumen, Change leadership and exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Manages high performance teams and holds direct reports accountable for delivering results
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong service orientation
  • Strong organizational, analytical and time management skills
  • Demonstrated partnering and leveraging abilities
  • Understands business risks and exhibits sound judgment and decision-making capabilities
  • Willingness to travel from time to time
