This role is responsible for leading a diverse global team of individuals coordinating internal focused activities (i.e. Task Forces) and project resources to ensure that initiatives are delivered on schedule, within scope, and in alignment with the organization's risk management objectives.

The Global Head role within Identity and Access Management Operations must have a working knowledge of information security and be able to effectively collaborate with key stakeholders globally to enable the delivery of projects that protect the Bank.

  • Drive a customer focused culture throughout the team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Oversee that business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed and delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
  • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Translate complex technical problems into terms and processes that support the functional goals, strategic initiatives, and business alignment of a dynamic growth company.
  • Provide consulting and guidance on Cybersecurity initiatives including business case preparation and developing creative/alternative approaches to problem resolution.
  • Continue to improve processes including feedback to areas under review regarding control issues.
  • Builds a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment and using a coaching mindset and behaviors; communicating vison/values/business strategy; and managing succession and team development planning.
  • Participate as needed (lead, facilitate, member of) within industry initiatives and third-party partnerships.
  • Provide relationship management support to third parties working including participation in negotiations, governance, and service reviews. (new vendor, vendor partnerships, due diligence)
  • Participate and ensure success in reviews with 2nd and 3rd line of defence meeting commitments on time, responding to requests.
  • Provide support where required to prepare documentation and developing creative/alternative approaches to problem resolution
  • Ongoing communication and reporting initiative and workstream status stakeholders.
  • Co-ordinate internal resources to assist in developing and maintaining relationships with third parties.
  • Maintain an environment in which the team pursues effective and efficient service delivery and operational functions; while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk (i.e., Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook, Guidelines for Business Conduct).
  • Provide consultation and technical professional guidance on the development and solutioning of enterprise e initiatives and strategies.
  • Develop and maintain documentation relating to operational services delivery, interaction workflow models with key stakeholders, and enterprise initiatives.
  • Ongoing communication and reporting of service metrics and initiative status to various audiences.
  • Guarantee that services, practices, and processes are executed and delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
  • Provide support where required to prepare documentation and develop creative/alternative approaches to problem resolution.
  • Participate as needed (lead, facilitate, member of) within industry initiatives and third-party partnerships.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?

  • Strong approach to critical thinking, analytics, problem solving, negotiation & detail oriented.
  • Proficiency in technical writing & communication for a business audience in English.
  • Ability to clearly articulate explaining technical findings in business language terms, effectively communicate complex conclusions to demonstrate business risk, and draft concise reports for various intended audiences
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills to negotiate stakeholder support and prioritization with full consideration and awareness of potential impact on business needs and outcomes.
  • Working knowledge and experience of project management methodologies, tools, and industry best practices.
  • Detailed working knowledge of Information Security best-practices, methodologies, and techniques.
  • Detailed working knowledge of data management, information governance, and project management disciplines.
  • High level of customer service and communication required with clients globally; including, but not limited to: C-Suite, internal and external parties.
  • Must be able to work extremely well under pressure while maintaining a high level of professionalism is critical.
  • Ability to work both independently and within the team
  • Ability to gain the trust of key business stakeholders to achieve a desired objective
  • Key technical expertise in subject areas include but are not limited to information and cyber security, identity management networking and routing, data management and regulations.

  • Knowledge of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) or other process orientated frameworks
  • +4 years working experience in information/cyber security or related field; or a bachelor's degree in an approved field from an accredited university and a minimum of +2 years of documented and relevant experience.
  • Professional certifications and membership of associations in the field of information/cyber security preferred, but not required, such as: Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC), Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP).
