Job Description:

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Intermediate Financial Analyst will help support select Corporate functions for all finance related activities including month-end close process, financial analysis & investigations, budgeting/forecasting, reporting, chargeback process and expense optimization. The position may lead certain projects or process improvement initiatives on an ad-hoc basis.

What will you do:

  • Support Corporate functions' month-end/Quarter-end close processes

  • Manage monthly management reporting and analysis

  • Support annual budgeting cycles in Hyperion and monthly forecasting cycles

  • Leverage technology and financial systems to enhance data accuracy and reporting capabilities

  • Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency

What do you need to succeed?

  • Proven financial acumen through professional designation or in progress (CA, CPA, CFA, FCIA) and minimum 3-5 years of experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills

  • Ability to interact and effectively communicate

  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with ability to quickly process complex information and present in a structured and clear manner

  • Ability to multi-task including managing multiple stakeholders and issues concurrently

  • Experience with Hyperion Planning and Reporting, Tableau applications is an asset

  • Attention to detail and accuracy along with advanced skills in Microsoft Office

  • Focused on identifying opportunities to streamline financial processes and overall change management incl. leverage technology to streamline processes & reporting

  • Self-motivated and results-oriented

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
