What is the opportunity?

The Investment Marketing Associate is responsible for supporting ongoing initiatives for the RBC Global Asset Management (RBC GAM) marketing team. The role is focused on RBC GAM's distribution channel marketing support, with RBC branch advisors and financial planners, as well as third party advisors across Canada as the key audience. The role works closely with internal partners to coordinate project requirements, ultimately contributing to building brand awareness and supporting sales efforts. This includes managing multiple projects at once, including fund launch requirements, marketing collateral and updating content on our digital properties. A key component will also be analyzing metrics to measure engagement and effectiveness.

What will you do?

  • Manage projects and support creation of new or updates of existing marketing materials, obtain stakeholder approvals, track deliverables and resources to keep projects running on time.
  • Support production, translation, compliance, internal reviews and the approval process for national and regional programs and campaigns.
  • Key activities include supporting stakeholder and resource management, building work back plans, managing event communications, displays videos, surveys and other materials, as well as ideating on improving engagement with other members of the Channel Marketing team.
  • Streamline project management by utilizing our MarTech stack (Wrike or other project management platforms, Seismic, Marketing Cloud) to optimize workflows, track project milestones, and facilitate communication among stakeholders to enhance overall efficiency.
  • Support client and advisor-focused virtual, in-person and hybrid event marketing activities, for both national and regional skill building and business building initiatives.
  • Support relationships with multiple stakeholders such as sales, product, digital, design, and compliance and execute on brand building opportunities.
  • Analyze metrics and make recommendations to have a greater impact to the business (i.e. improve efficiency and enhance the overall brand experience).
  • Manage marketing material inventory and ensure materials are current, organized, and easily accessible to the team.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 1-2 years of experience in marketing, preferably within the investment industry (asset management)
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Ability to execute with excellence with an acute attention to detail
  • Highly effective time management skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and plan effectively
  • Demonstrated project management skills and ability to navigate cross-functional teams with ability to work with cross-functional teams to meet tight timelines and handle multiple deliverables
  • Some experience with digital marketing tools

Nice-to-have

  • University degree in business or marketing or an equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job
  • Canadian Securities Course/ IFIC- Investment Funds Institute of Canada, would be an asset
