What is the opportunity?

You will have overall responsibility for compliance management processes within the team and ensure that all GenAI and Mobile application releases are compliant with various RBC enterprise and jurisdictional policies including the completion of the Safe AI Adoption process.
Global Functions Technology (GFT) is part of RBC's Technology and Operations division. GFT's impact is far-reaching as we collaborate with partners from across the company to deliver innovative and transformative IT solutions. Our clients represent Risk, Finance, HR, CAO, Audit, Legal, Compliance, Financial Crime, Capital Markets, Personal and Commercial Banking and Wealth Management. We also lead the development of digital tools and platforms to enhance collaboration.

What will you do?
Responsible for all compliance related activities and approvals in the GenAI and Mobile portfolio in EDT&A (part of GFT).
Takes ownership to resolve complex issues in discussion with organizational risk and governance teams
Identify inefficiencies in current process and recommend/implement value added enhancements
Develop strong working relationships with stakeholders (AIRC, AIWG, Privacy, Legal, Data Management, Model Risk etc.) to optimize overall project timelines
Prepare relevant documentation and ensure timely completion of compliance issues, status and resolution states
Collaborate within the GenAI and Mobile team to support above activities where applicable.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
5 years' experience in a Financial Institution with at least 2.5+ years in managing risk and compliance.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. The ability to gather and present complex information in a simple and concise manner is essential for this role.
Time management and multi - tasking skills
Ability to quicky build relationships with key stakeholders
Strong investigative and analytical skills coupled with the ability to think outside the box.
Self-starter, escalating to senior manager(s) for support when blocked.
Nice-to-have
Certifications in information security (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CRISC, GCIH, CCSP)
Working background/experience with segments of RBC (either business or IT) and Knowledge of RBC systems (Archer, JIRA, Lumina)
Risk management experience as related to architecture, compliance, and security
Basic Knowledge of GenAI
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe etc.
Degree in Business, Finance, IT or work experience in a compliance - related job.
